First of all, I'd like to review this website. I think everyone reading these reviews should be aware that each reviewer takes a poll where they are given particular questions with 4-5 answers to choose from. (That's why so many reviewers sound the same, like the answers were written by the same person. Because they are!)

Also, when reviewers finish taking the poll, the website presents the reviewer with a review that has already been written for them. They can agree with it (the easiest option) or they can write their own detailed review (like I'm doing). That said, here is my own review, written by ME (not by this website).

I have been seeing Dr. Goldman for over five years now. I have seen many psychiatrists previously so I can compare her to many others. Overall, I recommend Dr. Goldman pretty highly.

Keep in mind that Dr. Goldman is a psychiatrist (ie, has a medical degree) and her job is to prescribe drugs. If you need talk therapy, you will want to see a therapist who does not have a medical degree. Most likely, you will need to see both types of doctors and you should make sure that they communicate to each other on a regular basis about your condition.

One of the reasons why I recommend Dr. Goldman is because, although she is my medicine doctor and not my talk therapy doctor, she DOES always talk to me for awhile during our appointments. She listens, empathizes, and makes suggestions. But you still will probably need a talk therapy doctor in addition.

Regarding medicine, Dr. Goldman has been open to my suggestions. Be careful here because, depending on your own circumstances, this may or may not be a good thing for you. If you are the type who might abuse drugs, you should probably see a different doctor. Be honest with yourself about what you really need. And be aware of the side effects for every medication you are taking.

Since I've been seeing Dr. Goldman, I've been feeling better. I've recommended her to others who were also helped by her.
