I saw Dr. Nguyen for about a year. While I ultimately decided she wasn't a good fit for me, it was not because of anything she did that was particularly egregious. She respected my request not to try SSRIs for my anxiety and introduced me to Buspar which has worked very well. She doesn't provide appointment reminders (or didn't when I was seeing her) which my current psychiatrist does. Also, I feel the drug regimen I was switched to worked better for me than what she was prescribing

For an allopathic psychiatrist, Cuc has an enormous background on tracking the client's progress, finding non-medicinal ways around side effects of necessary drugs and how to cope with psychiatric illnesses; is conservative, ie., less is best. Therapy with meds is very encouraged.
She is kind, sweet, personable, and cares about her clients. She is super professional and efficient.
If you are looking for someone who knows how to fit in natural vitamins or supplements-she admits she has no idea-but supports her clients on seeing other natural practitioners if they choose.
She is also moving to downtown Mercer Island.

She's definitely an expert and knows her stuff.
