AWAREmed Health & Wellness Resource Center



The AWAREmed Health & Wellness Resource Center was founded by Dr. Dalal Akoury, MD (sometimes referred to by her patients as "Dr. Dolly"). Dr. Akoury is board certified in anti-aging functional and regenerative medicine, has accumulated more than twenty years of experience in emergency medicine and pediatrics, and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Dr. Akoury has also served several fellowships in pediatrics and pediatrics hematology and oncology. Furthermore, she has performed research in leukemia at the CDC and the effects of smoking at LSUMC Shreveport . This lifetime of experience, along with a unique sensitivity, genuine compassion, and a driving passion to inspire health in everyone, has prepared “Dr. Dolly” to be in this place at this time.




Dr. Akoury refers to AWAREmed as her "dream," and says, “My mission is to ignite the spark of health deep within everyone, and to allow this sparkle of wellness to shine through everyone’s eyes, and allow them to become one with the universe, and align their body, mind, and spirit.”




Our Mission Statement is to ensure an appreciation and availability of health and wellness to everyone, at every stage of life, through an understanding of the body’s innate healing ability, and to ignite the spark of health that all people carry deep inside, and to help them rediscover that sparkle of wellness in both a personal and global way, continuously and synergistically aligning body, mind, and spirit.
