Most pharmaceutical companies have a Patient Assistance Program, which assists indigent patients receive their medications at no charge. Our company, S.P.I.N., was formed to assist the indigent who fit into the poverty guidelines to assist them in receiving their medications through the pharmaceutical companies. Many people visit their physician, pay the bill, but never get their prescriptions filled because they simply cannot afford them. If persons who qualify and are within the poverty guidelines and they do not have prescription coverage, but they have the need for medication, they may qualify to receive a three-month supply of each medication free from the pharmaceutical companies. S.P.I.N. completes all applications/documents that are required by the pharmaceutical companies for the clients/patients. In addition, S.P.I.N. will re-enroll them every 3 months in order to keep them covered provided that their income status has not changed and their prescriptions are renewed by their doctor.
S.P.I.N. charges a nominal fee for completing the applications and documents for those who qualify. We then file the application with the pharmaceutical companies. We charge $<url removed> for a 3-month supply of 1 to 3 prescriptions and $<url removed> for each additional prescription filed on the initial application.
