Hometown: College Park, MD USA
Occupation: Marriage and Family Therapist
Interests: As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am experienced in working with couples, families, individuals, and teens in the context of their interpersonal relationships. I am trained to thinking systemically, considering all people and all parts of a person's life. This includes relationships with a spouse, parent, teenager, or adjusting to a new stage in their life such as college, marriage, loss in the family, or step families to name a few. Currently I work as an Associate Therapist at Moving the Self Psychotherapy Center.
I work with children ages 5 and up to assist them with behavioral adjustments to school, siblings, new parent, etc. I am also experienced in working with children with disabilities, particularly those with behaviors manifested as a result of conditions within the Autism spectrum. I have 7+ years of experience having worked in an elementary school setting with children with High Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. In this setting, I was responsible for running social skills groups and incorporating behavior modification contracts. I have also implemented an in-home program designed for adolescent and young adults with Autism.
