Have cooked in several restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Currently, part of the Marlow & Sons team. Marlow & Sons/Diner has a sustainable approach to restaurant service. Our menu varies daily depending on the produce, protein and other ingredients received through local vendors. We have a very passionate team of chefs committed to serving clean, flavorful and top quality meals. Perfection on the plate does not have to mean elaborate. Often, the simpler the dish, the more elegant & palatable it becomes.
My passion for food extends beyond the professional kitchen. I am also a teacher and believe in supporting our communities through education. As a volunteer for the Children’s Aid Society of New York, I participate in educating the youth about their food choices. Currently, I help teach a course on Food Justice to children as part of their school curriculum. We focus on ways to advocate for better food options in the cafeteria and ways to promote healthy eating in the community.

I have spent many years learning about and working as an energy healer and life coach. I practice Reiki, but my focus is on healing through conscious evolution of the mind, body and spirit. I apply the karma philosophy to my everyday life in order to be fully aware and conscious in each and every moment. In the kitchen, it is no different - I cook with the energy of life.
Also as a healer, I have found cooking to be an excellent outlet for creativity & therapy. If fully present, you become one with the cooking process, one with the food, and begin to appreciate the sounds, smells and tastes that flow from the room.
Through a dedicated practice of meditation, I am able to find peace in the moment - and I want to share that calm place with the world. It was through a series of life changing events that brought me fully into the NOW - and fully able to appreciate the enormous beauty of life. My goal is to teach cooking, share love and peace, and hope that my classes will inspire you to share your knowledge and compassion with others.
