The lack of interest in weight training once Spring arrives

I've been trying to understand why people think it's beneficial to only use the outdoors as a "work out regimen". Playing outdoors is an amazing workout, but most people are forgetting that it's crucial to still come in and do weight training. Even if they're jogging outdoors, they should still be weight training about 3 times a week.
