Super Human Radio Bad For The Economy?

The The National Intelligence Council recently released a document listing six potentially disruptive civil or technological advancements that could emerge in the coming fifteen years. These would be considered disruptive if they have either a negative or positive effect on the Nation's current geopolitical, military, economic, or social position in the world.

The first and foremost on the list was Biogerontechnology. Advancements in techniques and technologies that would extend life span and healthy longevity. This would impact three of the four criteria categories - geopolitical, economic and social structures.

It was determined that if we begin to live longer as a population we will have a negative impact on the US economy. Another way to put that is it's in our government's best interest that we die on schedule. Their schedule, that is.

Here's a direct excerpt from the originally published summary of their findings -

Biogerontechnology offers the means to accomplish control over and improvement in the human condition, and promises improvements in lifespan. The advancement of the science and technology underlying the biological aging process has the potential to not only extend the average natural lifespan, but also to simultaneously postpone many if not all of the costly and disabling conditions that humans experience in later life, thereby creating a longevity dividend that will be economic, social and medical in nature.
• The disruptive potential comes in the form of new treatment modalities, shifts in the cost, and resulting allocation and use of health care resources.
• Nations will be challenged as a result of changing demographic structures, new psychologies, activity patterns of aging yet healthy citizens, and the resulting requirement to formulate new national economic and social policies.

I love that "aging yet healthy citizens" line. See we're supposed to get ill and die. They expect us to. Its in their best interest that we do.

This makes me suspect about a lot of things. Like the FDA's reluctance to approve modalities of anti aging treatments and their constant oppression of anti aging medicine in exchange for traditional medical practices that keep people living sick and broken.

The "hormone" witch hunt that keeps most of us on HRT quietly hiding so we're not looked upon as "anabolic steroid" drug users.

The government's reluctance to get behind stem cell therapy development.

Just about every move that our government makes to block our ability to choose supplements over pharmaceutical drugs. Like punnishing supplement manufacturers using the FTC to squelch their promotion of healthy safe supplements over harmfull drug therapies.

It really sucks. And now the cat is out of the bag. Well here's my new position. I want to start a revolution. If you want to join me here's what we need to do. We don't need guns or force and we don't have to throw tea in the harbor. We simply have to live longer.

Each time you are confronted with a poor life style choice and you're about to give in remember that you're just doing what the government wants you to do. And when you make a healthy life style choice like exercising every day, eating whole natural foods instead of packaged processed foods, and refusing to develop age related diseases, you're striking a revolutionary blow for our cause.

Like the motto of the show - Live Stronger. Live Longer.
