High Fructose Corn Syrup died an ugly death at the hands of popular science. The Corn Refiners Association is trying to revive it through TV and print ads comparing HFCS to regular everyday table sugar. Most of the studies in the 80s and 90s on HFCS were done on rats. More recent studies have been done on humans.
