Grief and Wellness

During a loss of any type, the focus on personal, and emotional wellness takes a major shift. How does one even attempt to pay attention to the 12 dimensions of wellness; Breathing, Eating, Sensing, Transcending, Intimacy, Play and Working, Moving, Finding Meaning, Communicating, Thinking, Self Love and Responsibility and Feeling during devastation and grief.

Grief attributed to job loss, divorce or break up's, personal friendships, financial loss, pain and suffering, relocation, and yes of course death,
tend to create more of a disconnect from our wellness. Small changes to reclaim our sense of ourselves may be a way back to center. When I became injured and lost in the transition of the "new life" that I've now created, I remember when a small thought like "open your eyes and look around today" was the most I could do! What I know for sure is that the small steps were all I could do and eventually a small pile of small steps became a shift to a Bigger Life.
