Hey guys, though I'm not a big fan of quick weight loss methods. I prefer to just eat clean, exercise daily and maintain an healthy lifestyle through and through.
But the last 6 months, at age 47. I was obviously having hormonal issues, and the weight started going up. I went from 120 to 138 in 6 months. I thought it was my Thyroid medication needing adjustment. But I had come to find out that I had gone through Menopause. Which was a total shock.
I had all the symptoms, weight gain, insomina, lethargy, etc..(just like thyroid issues) but worse.
Because of the 18lb gain in such a short time, I was pretty low mentally. But my doctor suggested the HCG diet plan. Something I have read about, but never had the need to do.
Well I gave it a try for January 3, 2012. My results?
It works. I lost all the weight, and the good thing about it, Ididn' t lose alot of muscle. at all. Which was my biggest fear.
The HCG diet comes in many formats, 500 calorie, 800 calorie, 1000 calorie etc. Depending on your specific goals and current lifestyle, your doctor will make a recommendation on which vairation will work best for you. I also opted for the cream treatment, other than injections or drops. Cream is much easier and more convenient to apply and administer.
I was actually on the 500 calorie eating program. It takes some planning ahead of time, but if you prepare and write everything down. You will get the routine down easily.
Its alot to describe, so I would recommend a book called Pounds and Inches. Dr. Simeone.
Feel free to email me with questions on this eating program. I also have some awesome recipes too for Phase 2 and 3.
