How many people reading this have brushed their teeth today? If you are next to someone who did not answer "YES" to this question are you moving away from them currently?
My point is simple. We all have teeth we brush, floss and seek dental care to maintain. Yet, if we lost all of our teeth tomorrow, we could get dentures or other types of fake teeth to repace them. Now, how many of you have stretched today?
You will have the same spine from before birth to the end of your life. There is no replacement for any vertebrae should it go bad. Yet, less than 10% of the people I speak in front of have stretched prior to my workshops. That means over 90% of the people in my class are unprepared for even the basic lifting, let alone any unexpected moments where their bodies must act to save a loved one or handle a sudden challenge.
It is time to start stretching,2-3 times aday for less than 5 minutes. It can be done in bed, while stopped at a stop light, when fully dressed for work or before physical activity. if you think you are too tired to stretch, notice how good you feel afterward. Now if there is a medical issue, see your doctor before you begin. If not, get started today.
