I just discovered that I love Goji berries. I have never had them before and I am really glad a friend suggested I try them. I like them much better than raisins because they offer such great health benefits and they do not get stuck in my teeth as much!! Recently, taking an errand with a friend of mine I asked her what was in the little white bag she had sitting in her cup holder and she replied, "Goji Berries have you tried them?" I replied, "No." Then she said the magical words to me "Go ahead and try some!" I almost ate her whole bag! Now, when I am at the health food store I grab some as a delicious snack and pair them with some almonds or cashews.
Goji berries, also known as wolf berries, have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. They are usually eaten dried, much like a raisin, and can be found in natural health food stores and Asian markets. Goji berries are one of several foods and herbs which improve blood circulation. They are also high in fiber and help strengthen the immune system.
Not, trying to sound like a commercial for Goji berries, yet, you should try some also! The health benefits these tiny berries offer may make a difference in your overall health. Take this as a small lesson in trying something you have never tried before, after all, you may end up discovering something sweet and making it a part of your daily regimen.
