I was very happy until about two months ago. It has been horrible since then. I have fibromyalgia and anxiety. I was on a type of pain pill for a while. I decided that they weren’t helping. So I told Dr. Peverall that I no longer wanted them. My pain was still bad. I have been on an anxiety medication for quite a while. It is a “twice a day, as needed” medication. I had an appointment and drug screening on Sept the 19th. The nurse called and said that the anxiety medication didn’t show up, so I must not be taking it or I had called for a refill too soon. I wrote them a email explaining the as needed. Dr. Peverall called today and said that since I was not taking the medicine that she would no longer prescribe it to me. I explained to her that if I took it twice a day it would only last for 30 days instead of 60. I explained to her that I do take it as needed. She said that I had not been taking it or it would have shown up in the urine screening. She then stated that she would work with me and help me tapper off of this medication. ?????? If I am not taking it, like she accused me, why would I need to tapper off of it? I told her that I did not need help getting off of a med that I didn’t take every day. Then she informed me that she would no longer write the prescriptions for me. I told her not to worry, I would never call her again. She also accused me of stopping the pain medication so that I didn’t have to do a drug test. (Drug testing had not been mentioned to me until 3 days before my Sept 19th visit). I told her to look back at her records and she would see that I no longer wanted them because they didn’t help. I will never go back to see Dr. Peverall. She told me that I had already broken the trust. They completely broke the trust by not keeping good notes and actually reading them! By the way, at EVERY appointment I took every medication that I take so they could physically look at them. And count them if needed. I have never been treated this badly from anyone! I printed out all records, so if something changes between now and them being transferred, I will know it. After all of this, I have wasted many trips to Celo and am actually worse off because of it! Since the very rude phone call, I have done hours of research online. The medication that I take “as needed “, very rarely shows in a urine test. I have emailed Dr. Peverall several links fr Angela medical websites, explaining the medication and urine tests. I seriously doubt that I will get the apology that I deserve! Hopefully she will read all the articles and never be that cruel to another patient.
