They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. The chairs in the waiting room at this doctor's office were definitely above average. I was comfortable. They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not friendly in the least; I really didn't feel welcome there. I was surprised when they dismissed my concerns as unimportant and told me I was just overreacting. I knew that my situation needed attention, and I couldn't believe that they wouldn't even look into it. So in the end I'm definitely taking my child to Seattle to a childrens ENT doctor for a second opinion. One of there staff members was so angry with my daughter that the staff members face was red! Not necessary especially from a child who is cooperative but she felt my child was deceiving her about the level of hearing loss she had. I'm not ever taking another of my children back there. My daughter left feeling afraid.
I was not convinced that the doctor was listening to my concerns and priorities. It seemed to me that he had his own agenda for the visit, and when I questioned him, he just repeated what he said with another analogy. He was also hard to understand because he spoke in choppy little phrases! I am usually quite assertive about getting my own needs met, but he made it hard for me to ask my questions and get my priorities clear.
