I had a massage over the weekend. I booked it here becasue of the reviews. I have had many massages over the years normally at big day spas i.e. Renaissance Day Spa in Hunt Valley or Spa on the Avenue. First off I was suprised to see this was a converted house, which is not problem. I checked in, they were all very nice the decor is nice, quaint like a tea shop, my massage was down stairs. I met the guy doing the massage, first impression I was a little put off, however he was nice. The massage was just good, he was very light pressured and for the first time ever I was a little uncomfortable in the room with him. So I did not truely relax. The place was clean. This was a big change from the white robes and lemon flavored water that I am used to. My normal place has a huge womans relaxation room with an attached sauna and shower/locker room. I can understand the good reviews if you are a newbee to massage services and maybe if you had a different person massaging you. This is a great place for beginners, however for the exact same amount of money I can truely be pampered in a more spa like environment. I think for what you get the price is too high.
