Robert J Karby, DMD

Dr Robert Karby received his BA from California State University, Fresno with a BA degree in Zoology and then attended Washington University in St. Louis where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. After dental school he came back to the west coast and settled in Astoria with his wife where he has practiced for the past 30 years. Since that time he has continued to build his knowledge and expertise through hundreds of hours in continuing education through active participation in professional dental associations. Dr. Karby is one of less than 7% of dentists in the United States that has completed both the Fellowship and Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry. He is an active member of the America Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Oregon Dental Association, Clatsop County Dental Association, member of the Oral Medicine Study Club, Volunteers with the Mission of Mercy, and volunteers with the Medical Teams International dental van. He has served as president, secretary/treasure and trustee for the Clatsop County dental society and is a 29 year member of the Astoria Rotary and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. His dedication to his profession is evident by the excellent care he provides to his patients and his involvement in the various dental organizations. Outside of the office Dr. Karby enjoys hiking, photography,skiing, travel, ballroom dancing, and spending time with his family.
