Dr. Heitler is a frightening part of the system. I am concerned that she is a licensed therapist and can create so much adversity and devastation without claiming any responsibility. She oversteps her boundaries. She uses psychology speak to bully and intimidate. She threatened me saying "that if you do not agree with my new visitation schedule you will lose any ground you have to the courts after years of negotiations". The State Grievance Board of Colorado issued a Letter of Admonition to Dr. Heitler. She then perjured herself in court by saying she never received the letter. Of course later she wrote the court saying she had inadvertently misspoke. Ridiculous. Thankfully the court denied Dr. Heitler's request to attach any explanations or disturb the Admonition in anyway. If you're looking for a psychologist, keep looking.
The staff was really helpful. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question they were happy to help me. I liked that they were happy to answer my questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. It was nice to hear how much the staff respected Dr. Heitler. It made me that much more confident that I was making the right decision to see her.. I felt even better after my first session as I could tell it already helped.
