Alcohol/Drug Addiction Counseling:
We focus on non-medical aspects of assessment and treatment of substance abuse at all stages of recovery--from intervention to post-inpatient treatment and continuing care. We specialize in treating addiction in the family context, by working with family members and the chemically dependent.
Marriage/Family Therapy
We serve couples and families to meet a variety of relationship and mental health needs. Initial work often involves aiding the couple/family in moving from arguing/fighting into pro-active problem solving and effective communication, healing old emotional wounds, re-establishing trust, and restoring positive regards and loving feelings. With a comfortable, supportive, and non-judgmental atmosphere, couples can achieve the personal growth they’re striving for.
Mental Health Counseling
Using an integrative approach which incorporates direction, tools, and techniques from several theoretical frameworks, we work to eliminate or reduce your mental health symptoms. Common mental health problems presented in counseling include depression, anxiety issues and disorders, self-sabotaging behavior, low self-esteem, anger and other feelings management issues, adult ADHD, grief, stress management, and many more.
Emotional Development and College Success
We provide assistance for college students who find themselves unprepared for the demands of college--academically, socially, or emotionally. My counseling services for college students pick up where academic counseling leaves off. Self defeating patterns, emotional insecurities, and inadequate social skills may be identified and remediated.
