He is so unprofessional, I was absolutely appalled when he stood up while I was talking (and crying) and went to his file cabinet to grab a granola bar and then sat back down and ate it!!
Very rude and also standoffish.

I was interviewing therapists for my 13yo son but Gaaren Anderson's assistant made me make an appointment to even talk to the counselor. So I came in for the appointment thinking I was interviewing him to see if it would work out for my son. I could not believe how opinionated and offensive this man was. Then at the end of the session he tells me that my husband and I can come back for couple counseling but he doesn't see children. Apparently, he thinks my time isn't as important as his - he couldn't have just told that over the phone? Of course he charged me 75$ to tell me all that. I wouldn't brother with this guy. It's all good as before the end of the meeting it was clear that I did not want to and could not work with someone that cuts me off mid-sentence and is telling me what I am doing wrong when he hasn't bothered to even listen.
