I went to him because I have to be cleared for surgery and PCP didn't want me to have a heart attack on the table...First time I went there was a screw up...took my insurance card, processed it and came back saying that I couldn't be seen because my insurance was invalid. I went home and called my insurance and they certified that indeed I was an active member and still covered...so I called them back and had to reschedule.
2nd time I saw the doctor for about 5 minutes...then he left me with his 'nurse' who was busy on the computer entering my statistics I assume. They seem to be in quite a hurry, and wanted to set up a 2 day Nuclear Heart Stress Test within a week...
He wasn't interested in finding out the test results, first, for my aorta and my veinous ultrasound Doplars of my legs...which ended up showing dense calcification of arteries and severe loss of blood flow to right calf and foot...BUT..NO clots or narrowing of vessels, NO blockages, or ballooning or thin walls...
They said they wanted to get the Nuclear Heart Stress Test taken care of and then they would worry about the pain in my legs later... Why I need my heart looked at...when my complaint was about my legs causing me severe pain when I walked..I don't know...no one told me.
So I gathered all of my test results together and ended up faxing them the results...with a question asking if I could be released for my duct cyst surgery prior to the heart test...based on the negative results of the aorta & veinous tests.
I had to pay $7.50 to fax 3 pages and am now awaiting them to call me with an answer...and when they do, I am going to ask them to explain...why they wanted to schedule a heart test when it is my legs that hurt...and without waiting for or showing any consideration as to the results of the aorta & venous tests taken on my legs.
