I went to a scheduled appointment at Bellview ExpressCare to see Dr. Jackson. Having recently moved to FL and needing a new Dr. I arrived for my appointment, filled out paperwork and was forced to pay(cash) before seeing the Dr. AND told I would receive my change and receipt upon my exiting. After a long wait and within less than one minute of being in the room with Dr. Jackson he refused to prescribe me the medications I have been taking for 6+ years(even with copies of my files/charts my previous Dr of 3+ years. Upon his refusal I said ok,no problem I would like a refund and I will take my bussiness elsewhere. He said no problem, go to the front desk they will issue your refund and we shall part ways. Upon arrival at the front desk(whom had already been called by the Dr. to inform them of the situation) I was DENIED a refund. I tried calmly to reason with them, they told me the second he entered the room than is considered "services rendered" because I "saw" the Dr. I asked for a supervisor and was still denied a refund, I asked for the owner, told he was unavailable, asked for the manager, told she was not there. Continued to try and explain to them, I paid for a service that was NOT provided therefore I should be refunded my $76 charge which I paid in cash. They continued to say no and threatened to have me escorted out of the building and call the police. I told them to go ahead and do so, as I was not being voilent or loud. They did not make good on those threats but still kept my money. Not only is "Dr. Jackson a liar, a terrible Dr. who could not even hear out a patient but moreover ExpressCare of Bellview is a scam office, not a "family practice" as advertied. They will take your money and run, as they did with me. As an unemployed student without insurance, this was extremely damaging.
