Dr Baird and his drug representative prescribed OPIODS in excessive amounts in the 90's and got many people in Fortuna, CA Humboldt County HOOKED ON OPIODS. He also I'm sure, was given gift cards, trips so he would Prescribe HIGH DOSES. GOOD DR?? HELL NO!!

Dr Baird how does it feel knowing what you did to many??????

Dr Baird is the best doctor I have ever had, he takes such great care of me and my family and is always accommodating and caring. His staff, or medical assistant staff has gone down hill dramatically. I have never experienced a medical assistant so rude and resistant to helping people. She has made so many mistakes that could have cost my mother her life, but instead, hung up on her when my mom was telling her what happened because she didn't want to admit she made yet another mistake that could have cost her her life. She is impossible to get a hold of, if you actually are able to get through to the system you will be sent to voicemail and she will claim you never sent anything and wont respond top your request to "teach us a lesson." Or she will let you hold thinking she will get to you next and make you sit there only to have another member come to the phone and say she isn't available anymore. Convenient. They have screwed up on the last 2 appointments made and i lost valuable time and money at work to take my parents to the doctor only to find out the weren't going to see us yet again, but god forbid we call with a med renewal, that Dr. Baird is aware of, but she will make it as hard as possible, call it in early she will hold it and forget about it, call the day its due again and they will say you cant just call the day its due and demand it be processed immediately, and "i cant guarantee anything will happen in time, so you will have to go without, go to the hospital with withdrawals." Or you will try and call all week because you know this pattern, and get an even meaner response from her basically saying i don't have time for you and to quit calling. We are not junkies, I have 2 parents with very advanced medical issues, one paralysis and one cancer. I am their caregiver. Oh yea and did i mention that my mother has been allergic to a certain drug her whole life that was given to her by the office because "it wasn't on her chart" if they would have looked further, they will see all the transferred paperwork from her accident detailing the terrible consequences of taking this drug for her and she was miserably sick almost deathly for 4 weeks, but every time we called, we would get hung up on.. its like high school and she just wants to make things hard on us. I don't have the patience anymore I just want my mom and dad to be taken care of and when they aren't it looks like i cant take good care of them because the medical assistants are either just plain mean or miserable beings. I love Dr. BAIRD though. I want that to be clear. He is THE BEST doctor in Humboldt county. It makes me sad we may need to move on to another due to their staff problems, but my mom and dad need accurate and timely care and responses to urgent situations and other issues. Not to patronize and demean them. Im sick of hearing how she talks to my mom, she mad her cry this week. It has to stop.
