One star is TOO MUCH for Dr. Michael D. Robinson of Airmont and Monroe, NY.

If you want a doctor who is so arrogant, so uncaring, and so out of touch with how to be a "mensch" (a good person) that he'll even treat your mother like garbage, this is the guy.

My mother sustained a nasty fall last week, and had to be rushed to the hospital with a shoulder fracture.

Since it was still afternoon office hours at the time, we called to try and leave a message for him to please check on my mother at the hospital--where he has privileges to practice--because he was already her orthopedic specialist for other issues in his office.

His office secretary's response: "We don't take messages from patients going to the hospital!" My 82 year old mother was totally blown off.

We then called the service that evening, begging for Robinson to check in on my mother at the hospital--or even call back. Nope, this guy would leave his own patient, my mother, to rot.

Now out of the hospital 5 days, Robinson has STILL not bothered to call my mother. And, when my mother called his mega-practice to try to see him ASAP, she was deflected to an associate...with another 2-day wait.

She is in severe pain, she can't sleep, and she's unable to tolerate the hospital's temporary sling.

If there's a God, and I believe there is, Michael D. Robinson, MD will someday suffer the same excruciating pain my mother is presently feeling, with a similar door closed in his face when he seeks the necessary care.

This is a doctor to avoid at all cost.

Took me weeks to get an appointment. There was a 3 hours wait. Once inside, he mocked my primary doctor whom have I been with for several years. He ridiculed me as a patient. Despite telling me that the treatment my primary MD recommended and the self care treatments I was preforming were both wrong, he offered no guidance as to what would be the correct form of treatment. Then he had the audacity to recommend a second office visit. I explained that I was not sure what I was to do between now and then. He then said to talk to my primary MD. This was strange as just moments prior he said that my primary did not know what he was doing. I then asked what we would discuss at the next office visit and he told me that he did not care if I came back. This man is extremely pretentious and does not care in the slightest for his patients. The whole situation is extremely tragic. Do not waste you time with this man.
