1. I was charged $347.90 for a (free) consultation!
2. I went to Realica for a consultation. I went to other doctors for a consultation in order to decide which doctor to use. I elected to have my procedure done elsewhere.
3. I explained it was a cash transaction because my insurance company would not cover the expense.
4. My insurance company did in fact NOT cover the cosmetic surgery. They would not be involved with free consultations or charged consultation either.
5. I was not impressed with Realica’s office. The doctor wore a mask. I think he had a contagious disease or the flu. I got sick after my visit. I have since asked what type of sickness he had, but the office has not provided me with an answer.
6. I was at Realica’s office for about 30 minutes. About 23 minutes in the waiting room with no other patients and about 7 minutes being exposed to Realica’s germs(!)
7. I went to another doctor for my procedure. I found Realica’s office and areas unprofessional.
8. I received a bill for the free consultation and immediately contacted Realica. I was given the run around. I was told to contact the bookkeeper. She was hard to get in touch with.
9. When I finally spoke with her, she explained that they can charge whatever they wish. Her words, not mine!
10. I spoke with another doctor and he was surprised that Realica would pursue such a claim against me.
11. I believe Realica thought it was going to be paid by insurance and inflated the price.
12. Realica sent the debt to collection! My opinion:
a. It is birthed out of greed and revenge for me complaining.
b. Has no legal merit. There is NO contract or agreement that cites this money due. You will see that I asked for any documentation from Realica. I was told I must make this request in writing. I did and received nothing.

SUMMARY: The office during my short consultation was unprofessional. The exam was odd. Why did Realica wear a mask? Sending me a bill for $347.90 for a consultation? Never explaining to me beforehand that there would even be a charge? Nothing in writing supporting a charge? And then turning me over to collections!

Stay away from Dr. Realica’s office unless you enjoy getting picked on, unprofessional staff, perhaps a contagious doctor looking at you and then a collection agency after you for not paying $347.90 for a consultation! I never even used this guy!

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointment. They were running right on time, which is a really big deal for me. It was really nice and professional of them to send me a whole bunch of informational material before my consultation. I was able to look through it, and find answers to all my questions before my actual appointment. I was able to relax during my appointment here. Everyone makes sure you are comfortable and at ease.

Absolutely! I never have a problem!

Immediately! They gave me a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in
