Suhas W Tuli, MD

Dr Tuli is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained at Johns Hopkins University and USC in corneal and refractive surgery. She specializes in LASIK, and refractive small incision cataract surgery with accommodating, diffractive and toric IOL's. She is one of the few corneal surgeons performing DSEK (Descemets Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty) surgery. Having studied the human eye from both clinical and research aspects makes her especially suited to achieve optimal surgery outcomes even in the most challenging of situations. Dr Tuli believes in giving back to the community. She has performed cataract surgeries in charitable eye surgery camps in India and plans to continue doing so. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Whenever I have a question, even if it's very basic, they always make me schedule an appointment, which is extremely frustrating. I had to wait a while after I arrived for my appointment. The staff didn't even keep me updated about how much longer it would be. They definitely favor certain clients, and make an extra effort to help those clients. I was afraid that they wouldn't help me if they didn't like me. They were very qualified and knowledgeable. I could tell that they've been doing their job well for quite a while. I was disappointed that their staff didn't seem to respect them very much. They weren't disrespectful but I could tell they didn't have a very good relationship.
Doctor need to be more sensitive & FRIENDLY to patients.
Dr Tuli seems always dissatisfied professionally.

Competent, sensitive physicians like Dr Tuli are the prize of the medical profession.
But I was most fortunate to have an experienced surgeon, whose only commitment was to me, the patient, and who took all the appropriate actions to make sure I had the best care. I want to always have that ability to choose a surgeon or physician whose decisions are focused on what will best serve the patient instead of having to balance patient needs with what will serve corporate goals.
