was over chrged for a very simple wisdom tooth extraction, no iv sedation in two yanks tooth was out. Was over charged that day and was told that is how they bill and yes I had insurance. Then was told after billing through insurance I would most likely get a credit. To my surprise a couple month's later I got a bill. I called the insurance company because they were in network. My insurance company said we paid them what they agreed to ,the contracted amount. I was over charged. I called the office and explained to them what the insurance company said and yes they argued. I asked to talk to the Dr myself. At that point put on hold and a not so happy person said you were over charged we will mail you a check. After a month or so nothing, I called back and was told a check would be issued after they filed their taxes.I finally got the check and guess what they stopped payment on it and I was chrged a fee! Now mind you that I could not leave that day until I paid my portion by credit card, it was a lot! Almost a year later were still trying to get our money back. It is not that much but now I'm mad! This is why our insurance is so high, offices are trying to get full price not caring that they agreed to a price, and they will go after you for the money if you owed them!! Is there a collection agency out there for consumer's? I think I may start one after all I'm a stay at home mom who has nothing better to do!!!! Stay out of this office people!!
