If this dr is like his phone help I say "No thank you". I called up today as my health insurance directory said he was looking for new patients and I'm looking for a new gastro. I waited on hold for a short while. Then this woman comes on and says "Ma'am?" I said "Im not a ma'am." She said "Ma'am?" I said again "Im not a ma'am. I have never spoken to someone. I have been waiting on hold to speak to someone." She said "OK hold." Then came back and said "How can I help you?" I said "I'm so and so and I'm looking for a new gastro dr. I was referred to Dr Brown by my healthcare doctor directory who said he was accepting new patients. My health insurance is United Heathcare. Is he acceptin gnew patients?" She said "I'm sorry?" I said "YOu didn' thear any of what I just said. " She said "No". I saw "Why would that be? I can hear you just fine?" She said "Because there is an echo." I said "All I hear are all those people in the background of you talking. But I can hear you fine." So I repeated what I said earlier. She said "What kind of insurance do you have?" I said "United Heatlcare. Do you want the group number and member id number?" "NO" she said. "What is your date of birth?" I told her and she said" What is your name?" I told her. Then she said "What kind of insurance do you have?" I said "United Heatlcare. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. If you tell me what to look for on this card I can see if I can find it." "What kind of health insurance do you have?" I said "Lady I have no idea obviously wha tyou are asking. If you give a little help here I can tell you what the card says if you cannot look it up by group and member ids.". She said "Please hold." I was sitting here thinking . . . if they are that disorganized and unprofessional at this level I can only imagine what goes on in the back. Agan no thank you. I hung up.
