Paul Vinger, MD

Dr. Vinger is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist who has experience in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of eye disease. He has special interests in the mechanism and prevention of Eye Trauma as well as Vision Performance.

Dr. Vinger is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He attended medical school at New Jersey College of Medicine where he was Valedictorian, completed his ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Hospital, and a fellowship at the American Society of Testing and Materials. He is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Active Staff at Emerson Hospital.

Because of his outstanding work in the fields of Eye Trauma and Vision Performance, Dr. Vinger has received numerous awards and honors. These include the Annual Award for a Significant Contribution to Ophthalmology from the New England Ophthalmological Society; the Man of Vision Award from the National Society to Prevent Blindness Massachusetts Affiliate; Certificate of Appreciation, United States Olympic Committee; Distinguished Service Award from the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association; Excellence in Safety Award from USA Hockey; and Guest of Honor and Secretariat Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Vingers work appears in over thirty Original Reports, in many National Standards and Guidelines, in several Books and Monographs, as well as numerous Reviews.

Dr. Vinger sees patients in our Concord and Lexington offices.
