I broke my left arm at the wrist while roller skating. (I am left handed.) After examining the break, he told me he was giving me a shot and I would feel pressure and the pain would go away. That's exactly what happened. Then I watched as he and his nurse worked to set the break. He told me that because the break was at an angle and slightly into the wrist that he might have to pin it if it didn't hold. He wrapped it in a tight cast. It was a bad break so I had pain for several days, but I had pain medication. The bone set without having to be pinned. I asked how long it would be before I could play tennis. He said one year. I tried to play after about 10 to 11 months and it didn't feel right, so I waited. After a year I was able to play, just as he said. He also told me I would get about 90% supination and pronation and that prediction was accurate. This happened over 30 years ago and I have had no problems with my wrist. This happened in the Birmingham area. I now live in Mobile County, Al. I told my wife that if I had a bone break to drive me to Dr. Brackin if he was still in practice.

I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. They gave me sufficient information to make a decision about my treatment plan. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been months since my last appointment. They are so thoughtful and amazingly sweet, I just love this place.
