Hello Dr Doyle. Years later, I am compelled to provide feedback due to my experience back in 1989 after being referred to you. Flunking hearing tests from school years, and into my adult years, unusually prolonged hearing tests I failed: a new employee position became available that had me looking into hearing aids but first trying to understand why I flunked my tests yet could hear people talk. At that time it was little known I had a hearing issue until I found myself being asked by audiologist if I had time for more testing out of curiosity.

Dr Doyle, I was one of two patients that had complete opposite hearing as I became aware you specialized in research for hearing losses in children. I was an adult. The testing and education you provided was an experience I will never forget. Your chair side manners were impeccable as well as your sharing what kept resulting in more testing. "Amerindian" was not the diagnosis, rather an education how this word was finally given a name to a gift of added senses and finding education to my condition.

You were "spot on" in your prediction and that Amerindian kicks in stronger and stronger although in some areas a listening device is required. That was a discovery that helped immensley as you were the first to educate what would not have come to light by someone else, I believe. Thank you... A court appointed medical examiner years later told me I was fortunate end up in your office as no one refutes you in a court of law due to your knowledge. Thank you Dr Doyle. Having answers is settling.
