I found this doctor to be very unprofessional. He was dismissive of concerns I brought up.

Also, my wife and I not only don't want children, but if she got pregnant there would be medical concerns for both her and the fetus. We're both 30 and child free. When I asked for a referral for a vasectomy, he spent a while trying to dissuade me before he'd give me the referral. During this discussion, he made several very rude implications, such as the idea of my wife dying and me winding up with someone else who wouldn't have medical complications if they got pregnant. He seemed certain that someday I'll want kids. At 30 years old, I think I can be pretty certain about what I want in my own future. I finally just said "If I really change my mind, I can always adopt" just to shut him up & get the referral. I shouldn't've had to. A question or two to know that I'm sure I know what I want is fine, but that barrage of second guessing my certainty was entirely uncalled for, especially the comment about my wife possibly dying. Yeah, she could get hit by a car or something, anyone can, but we don't plan our lives around such horrible possibilities and it was a terrible thing to say.

The third strike was that they don't accept copays at the time of appointment, requiring you to go through some other service. After receiving the bill in the mail, I've tried to pay it in person, but they had trouble with that, so I was a half hour late to work for nothing and still owe them the $10.

I will definitely be finding a new doctor, right after I figure out how to pay my copay.
