This doctor performed one of his first laprascopy procedures on me in 1995. It was done incorrectly and I almost bled to death in the hospital. Before the operation, he told me I would be "power walking" about a week afterwards, but I was in bed for 5 months and could not work for 14 months, because I also suffered PSTD from the trauma of nearly dying. The entire experience put me $10,000 extra out of pocket for a psychotherapist and because I couldn't work. I actually billed Dr. Tabas for it, but he refused to "do the right thing." I still have pain in my right side from the massive blood clot and scar tissue he left me with. As for PSTD, I haven't had a pelvic exam since this experience that doesn't hurt horribly; actually, I just don't get them anymore, now that I am almost 70 years old. Jessica
