I am a male 29 year old paramedic and RN. I went in with issues that I self diagnosed as an inflamed prostate. I told Dr. Raj of my concerns to which he replied "you're too young, it's not your prostate"...he then had to be reminded of the urinalysis I had just taken before i entered the room. He wasn't willing to listen to a damn thing I had to say and all he did was prescribe me an anti-fungal for 30 DAYS which it normally only prescribe for 2! I got no respect, no prostate exam, and pretty much told that I didn't know what I was talking about. He almost immediately recommended to scope my uretrhe which itself could damage me and was very costly of a procedure. Woulnd't a prostate exam be easier or do I have to be 80 years old to be taken seriously? Does my medical knowledge mean that little to him because he's a physician? I guess I know NOTHING about ANYTHING

The next week I saw a prominent Urologist in Valencia who diagnosed me with an inflamed prostate, ordered PSA labs and other things. Prescribed me a medication that cleared up my symptoms. That doctor also was dumfounded as to why Dr. Raj would prescribe what he did and in that amount. A simple prostate exam like I suggested would have resolved my issues right away but DR. Raj didn't care to take the 2 mins to do it.

Thankfully, I didn't have a life threatening issue or I would have been sent on my way home for it to get worse!

$186 lesson learned. Don't trust this doctor for anything as he's only there for the money and to recommend expensive procedures that will do damage to something that's not broken! Figures!
