Dr. Palekar received his medical degree from LTM Medical College at Bombay University in Bombay, India, and completed his internal medicine residency at the Episcopal Campus affiliated with Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was chief resident his last two years.
Dr. Palekar is board-certified in internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and has served as the specialty representative on its Medical Society Board of Trustees. Dr. Palekar also belongs to several other societies including the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. He has served as a Sussex County delegate for many years with the Medical Society of Delaware.
