About
The Pediatricians Care Unit is composed of two offices;
1) Joseph A. Cannizzaro, MD, Founder: Visits by appointment. (407) 862-1163
Dr. Cannizzaro completed a fellowship at Walter Reed Army Hospital, and was a Captain and lab officer at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He then received his MD from the University of Bologna Medical School in Bologna, Italy. His internship was completed at New Rochelle Hospital in New York, and his 3 year pediatric residency was completed at the University of Connecticut Hospital System. Dr. Cannizzaro has been practicing in Central Florida for twenty years. He is married with three sons and enjoys gardening, nutrition and complementary medicine.
2) PCU: Visits on walk-in basis, appointments preferred for physicals. (407) 774-9990
Both male and female Pediatricians and Physician Assistants are available to monitor the growth of infants, children and teens up to 18 years old. We follow the recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics for immunizations. These are provided to you as a guide on the Dr. Cannizzaro and the PCU Visit Guidelines Page. We also work with children having Attention Deficit Disorder, that require regular checkups.
Beyond the medical exam and treatment of the child, our goal is to educate the parent and patient while promoting a healthy relationship between the two.
