I came to this cardiology office after being recommended by my primary doctor some time ago. Unfortunately my last visit was enough for me to decide to find another cardiologist. While the doctor is very knowledgeable and fairly friendly (though he usually seems rather rushed and has a minor tone of irritation whenever I have a question) the office staff is not.

I don't care how great a doctor is, I won't be dealing with a staff that treats you like you're being a hindrance on their time and gives you a snarky answer to any question you have. I don't like to point the finger, but the office manager (a larger woman) in particular would talk to me as if she was talking to a child. I, among others, have also noticed how quickly they change medical assistants every so often and it saddens me as these girls are really the only ones to have a personality to them.

I've been informed it isn't because they've been fired, but that they've merely decided to leave. It doesn't surprise me when you have an office manager who, clear as day, is on her Facebook anytime you see her. No wonder these medical assistants don't last long. Who would want to work with someone who clearly doesn't care about her job and more than likely lops all the work on them instead.

To prove this, I was scheduled to have a holter device placed on me. The days when I could go in were unfortunately days I had to work at the time. I politely asked if there was another day I could have it placed to the medical assistant. She was in the middle of looking for another day when the office manager rudely commented "I would think this is more important than your job, can't you ask for a day off?". I took a breath and calmly answered back that I could not, I did not give a reason as to why as that was clearly none of her business. The M.A. then told me of a day and it seemed that it was out of the question because the office manager once again comments with "No, it can't be that day because you're not here and I don't place holter devices." The M.A., I'm guessing new, asked back "Why not?" to which then the office manager seemed to turn red in rage and answered "Because. I. DON'T."

To not make this story longer than it already is, I told them that I would call back to see when I could have a day off. I never called back again and that was the last day I was ever at that office.

If you don't mind dealing with a rude staff, then this doctor is for you. If not, take your business elsewhere, which I highly recommend. After all, your life is essentially in their hands.
