This was my son's second office visit to Dr. Ward, and this will be his last. Not sure about Dr. Viera (the other children's dentist in the office) but Dr. Ward will not allow parents to accompany the children to the dental chair. During the initial visit, my son (10 yrs old) complained that Dr. Ward was rough and he talked to him in a "mean way"......Since I figure everyone is entitled to their Bad Day, I decided to give Dr. Ward another chance....fast forward to 6 months later to my sons 2nd visit...my son closes his mouth either by accident or by habit, and Dr. Ward tells him he can get out if he cannot follow instructions. I have never had a problem with any dentist or doctor and pray I will never again. I hear that Dr Viera is lovely, but once you are a patient of Dr. Ward's, they will not allow you to switch since they are partners. My advice to all parents is either request Dr. Viera or better yet find another practice.
