I have had an outpatient psychiatric practice for over 30 years. I see outpatients for psychotherapy and prescribe medications as needed. The most exciting, challenging, and creative aspect of my work is forming an intimate, trusting, and reliable relationship with each patient. Together, we find which treatment modalities best suit the patient's diagnosis, personality style, and circumstances. Over time, we can identify recurring patterns of behavior and thought that actually sabotage their well-being. Together, we work on finding comfortable ways to change these thoughts and actions that have not been effective ooping styles.

Services I provide individual adult psychotherapy and medications as indicated. I usually see my patients weekly, and the total treatment time varies from months to years. It is more common to hear laughter than tears in my office as we enjoy talking with each other.

The disorders I most commonly treat include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, relationship problems, challenges of parenting, ADHD, OCD, and transitions in life. My style is eclectic, ranging from psychodynamic psychotherapy to supportive therapy.
