I have been treated for skin cancer 2 times by Dr. Robert Barry. The first time (the more severe case) I knew he was going to surgically remove the spot, but he didn't fully counsel or warn me. It was quite a shock to me to suddenly see him place a stew-meat sized piece of my flesh on the tray beside me. My scar is quite sizable, as you can imagine. The 2nd time, I asked far more questions and asked for details before I went ahead with anything. He answered openly, but it seems to me the patient shouldn't have to pry information from the doctor. Some may say he's the best in town, but that doesn't mean he's perfect. If you go to him, be ready to take the initiative and ask many detailed questions in order to be fully advised of just what he will be doing.
