Ok, so this business is run well. Dr. Sosinski's nurse (Roberts) is simply amazing. I wish she could be my doctor. Dr. Sosinski is a nice guy. But he has mishandled way too many of my parents' and my in-laws ailments for me to ever trust him.

He is really bad at handling mental illness of any kind. My husband saw him after having a pretty classic panic attack (his first). Dr. S. was unable to diagnose him and sent him away with a 'nothing's wrong.' Husband had anxiety and worked through it with talk therapy--no thanks to Dr. S.

My mother in law has been his patient for years and kept complaining of shaking hands and jaw, slowed movements, andfatigue. For years Dr. S told her 'it was in her head.' Another doctor diagnosed her Parkinson's.

He told my mom her cancerous mole was 'fine' without doing any tests. Only because my dad insisted on a biopsy was she treated.

The last straw was this winter. My mom has always been mentally unstable. Paranoia, hallucinations, delusions, manic and depressive behavior--all of these for years. She is unwilling to admit there's anything wrong or get help. She is unable to maintain employment or even basic friendships. She has pushed her entire family away (except her husband and daughter). I had raised a concern about this with Dr. S. who said he could do nothing. This is probably true. I'm fine with that.

However, she had a complete 2-month long breakdown in which she did not sleep, shouted at the voices in her head in public, got out of the house at 3 am in the dead of winter and wandered aimlessly in her pj's. (it was WAY below freezing). She wandered in front of cars without looking (distracted by voices). Fell and broke her wrist trying to fend off the voices who she thought were physically present and attacking her. I finally coaxed her to the emergency room after she wet herself and wandered pantsless in front of my husband crying that her sister was destroying her internal organs and selling them for a profit. The hospital staff said she was one of the worst cases they'd seen. She was nearly involuntarily committed, but committed herself at the last minute.

She was put on an antipsychotic and had therapy at a mental hospital. It stabilized her back to her regular, paranoid, delusional self.

Dr. S. saw her when she was stabilized again and took her off her antipsychotic, told her that antipsychotics were dangerous, and that she was 'fine' and nothing was wrong with her mentally. She is now once again assured that it is the rest of the world that is crazy and not she. She has her doctor's say-so that she doesn't need therapy or drugs. Dad was witness to this conversation and confirms it. I cannot believe the irresponsibility of this doctor. She is a danger to herself, despite the fact that she isn't suicidal. Fine if he wants to take her off the drugs, but to put her off the idea that ever taking a drug (to stabilize her should she need it) is just horrible! He also convinced her that talk therapy isn't needed and the mental health system is corrupt and uncaring. This should not be. He has let our family down in the worst way.

Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. The staff as well as the nurse practitioner and doctor I use are all awesome. Pleasant, helpful, and willing to answer *all* my questions.
