I have never forgotten this doctor's name. I saw her about 10 years ago when she worked in Greenbelt, MD. I had an abscess on my cheek, and was terrified of what it was. I had been sent to Dr. Lindsay by an urgent care professional to get it addressed. I was 21.

During my appointment, the nurses didn't say much to me at all, but I could tell something was not right. They asked me to wait for Dr. Lindsay to come in. She came in, looked at me, doodled in my chart, and left to speak with the nurses. When she came back, I told her how scared I was, and between all the people that had looked at me, no one was telling me what was wrong. I told her I was terrified, and I hadn't eaten all day because I was busy being shuffled around to different people looking at me and I just wanted to be informed about what was going on.

Rather than having compassion for a scared kid, rather than offering a comforting word, or a kind pat on the shoulder, this doctor chose to say, "It's good you haven't had anything to eat. That will help you lose some weight!" I cried harder. She did not care. She did not apologize, or offer any kind of consolation whatsoeverl. She simply left the room, and had the nurse (who had witnessed the entire exchange, and was extremely compassionate after that) deal with me.

It turns out that I had MRSA. The nurse advised me to go to the hospital. My white blood cell count was pushing 17,000. I had to be hospitalized for a week, and the surgeon who drained my face was concerned that I would lose my left eye. You can imagine how terrifiying that entire day, let alone that entire week was for me. Yet, through all of that, the only words Doctor GRACE LINDSAY had to say was 'you're fat,' and not a syllable more.

Dr. Lindsay, I hope you see this, and I hope you remember my swollen face. I hope you remember my 21 year old terrified impishness, and I hope you feel just as bad about yourself today as you made me feel then. I sincerely hope you're introspective enough to understand "First, do no harm" should apply to all of your patients equally.

I was able to keep my left eye, thanks.

Does this provider ever overbook appointments here?
No, They definitely believe in quality over quantity and allow more than enough time in between appointments
