I've been with Dr. Shah over 15 years, since he was new here and his English was barely passable. He is a very good internist, has a good bedsite manner. However in the past 5 years, he has been more distracted.less focused on the problems at hand. I think he used to be a pretty good diagnostician; now, increasingly, he requests test after test after test. Even though results of previous tests are pretty conclusive, he orders more and more tests. I still currently see him although I am looking for another primary care physician. Dr. Shah is also my wife's doctor and she has brought up the same concerns about him. Finally, the doctors in this practice frequently fall behind schedule; it is nothing to show up for an appointment on time and have to wait an hour or more. The receptionists don't alert patients to any delays; I guess they feel it is our problem. Too bad. Dr. Shah used to be a pretty good doc. Now I wonder if he isn't playing games with health insurance costs.
