Dr. Tatar may be difficult to get an appointment with at times, or run a bit late, but he is worth the wait! If he is running behind it's only because of his attention to detail. He is extremely knowledgeable and puts the patient first. He truly cares about the patients working to not only take care of the ailment but build a relationship. He's also an excellent surgeon, his bedside manner is pleasant and followup care is thorough and caring. He continues to schedule followup until the patient is healed to his satisfaction.
He may see you an hour late, but you can be sure of a very good Doctor who won't rush through your visit. Dr. Tatar (same-day surgery) opened my too-narrow sinuses, which ended the frequent headaches and sore throats I had been getting. Prior to that, he placed, in my mother's ear, an artificial hammer and anvil and rebuilt the eardrum to restore some hearing in that ear (overnight in hospital because she was in her 70's). Both experiences were as pleasant as could be expected. He's doesn't have a strongly sympathetic demeanor, but he's attentive and helpful, and more than competent. I'm on this page now because I have one undersized sinus passage that gets clogged every several years and I looked up Tatar's number on the web - and I'm glad Tatar is "in the network" of my company's new Blue Choice insurance. I called Wed. and got an appointment Fri. for a semi-urgent pressure problem. I can't comment on cost because my insurance covers everything except office visit copays so I didn't compare costs with any other doctor.
