This doctor charged me $211.00 for a cleaning!! One year after my daughter's appointment!!!!! They thought I had dental insurance so charged me for bitewing x-rays along with a full mouth scan!! The actual cleaning was only $52.00!!! Plus they didn't send me a bill until one year later!!! His billing person refuses to correct the bill even though she knows good and well I did NOT authorize those x-rays!!! I would never have been ok with a $211.00 bill for a simple cleaning!!! We haven't been back, so the x-rays are useless!!! Not to mention my daughter has an orthodontist who takes those same x-rays twice a year!! I don't need a general dentist to take them!!! All I went in there for was a Cleaning!!! The billing clerk tried to tell me it is their standard practice to take those sets of x-rays even if you don't want them, then they bill you!!! Buyer beware!! They are trying to defraud you and your insurance company!!! They never would have taken the x-rays if they knew I didn't have insurance!!! I gave them my medical card because a lot of dentists in baton rouge subscribe to blue cross discount program, where they pay a small portion of the bill!! They took my blue cross card and tried to rack up the bill!!! I even checked with blue cross and their office is NOT even on their provider list for regular dental insurance!!!!
