After completing studies at Wayne State University (Detroit), Dr. Ban Barbat was accepted at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) School of Dentistry. There, she was awarded top ranking in comprehensive care as well as crown and bridge procedures. In 1993, she received a doctorate in dentistry and began a one-year residency. She began private dental practice in 1994, relocating to Shelby Township three years later.
Particular areas of emphasis in her practice are enabling patients to achieve a healthy, confident smile through proactive measures.
Dr. Barbat is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics. She is actively involved in continuing education in all aspects of dentistry and has completed advanced training in crowns, bridges, cosmetic dentistry, and sedation dentistry. Additionally, she is supportive of the community on a personal basis for the betterment of its citizens.
