I have had problems with my teeth all my life and have been saving up for a while to get dentures. I know what having and getting dentures entail and how much you have to go through almost everyone in my family has them. I drove from Platte City to this place and was very excited to finely get the process started in getting some what of a life back and to be able to eat again and well just look better also. I got there at 2:40 for my 3:00 appointment just encase I had to fill out paper work I finely got into see the Dr. at 3:31. I walked in and he introduced himself and then sat me in the chair and asked why I was there, I told him I wanted to get dentures and so he said ok let me take a look. I opened my moth and he looked for about 30 seconds and said well you have gum disease and I said yes I have had it all my life, then proceeded to tell me I don't need dentures and that he wouldn't do any thing till I got my teeth cleaned and a couple of fillings. At this point I told him that I didn't want to get them cleaned and filled because what would be the point in that if I want them pulled out and replaced. By the way he came to this conclusion and didn't even x-ray or really look at my teeth. So instead of talking to me he proceeded to walk out of the room and so I fallowed he took me into the reception area, that was full of people to the desk and in front of every one told the receptionist that I needed to make an appointment with one of there affiliates to get this done and then he said that I had solid teeth but they were in bad shape and that they looked like they were never cleaned and that they were solid. He said all of this in front of all these people and I was so embarrassed and upset at this point I almost broke into tears, then he just walked away. The receptionist just looked at me and asked me if I wanted to make that appointment I told her no and left the office as fast as I could in tears at this point. If he had taken the time to listen to me and actuality look and inspect my teeth he would of known that all my front teeth are loose and most of my teeth are chipped. This was the worst and most embarrassing experience I have ever had.
