The first thing I noticed about Dr. Lowenguth was that she has an arrogant attitude toward her staff. For both of the appointments I attended she pointed out errors that her assistants made in front of me and even gave me a look like she was exasperated with them. For that reason, she left a bad taste in my mouth right way. If she had constructive criticism for them, the professional thing to do would be to address it with them privately. She certainly shouldn't let the patients see her lack of respect for her staff. Her arrogance was confirmed when she dropped me as a patient for missing one appointment. She had her staff tell me that she did not want to see me because I missed three appointments. The reality is that I rescheduled two appointments and I missed one. I rescheduled the 1st appointment due to sickness and I had to reschedule the 2nd appointment due to a meeting that was scheduled at my place of work that I couldn't miss. I did completely forget about one appointment and I realize what an inconvenience that can be, but her office does have an fee in place for missed appointments, so they were not left empty handed. What I really don't appreciate is how she considered the rescheduled appointments just as bad as the missed appointment. What is the point of even calling to let them know if you can't make the appointment if they view that just as bad as just not showing up? I have to say that I am not upset about losing her as a doctor, because if she gets herself all upset over little things her staff does and a patient missing one appointment, I can only imagine what she would do if a patient would actually have an opinion about their treatment.
