Moby is right on - after 3 years+ of going seeing Anoushfar, I finally went to another dentist at my wife's urging. Having my appointment rescheduled for the third time was the final straw. Over the last several visits with Anoushfar, I was being recommended to get an inlay on tooth 14 (or something). I had already had one inlay done by her on the other side.

We looked at the reviews and saw how many people kept saying that she recommends inlays at an expensive cost. When I finally went to my new dentist, I showed her the order for the #14 inlay, and after looking carefully again in my mouth and at the xrays, she exclaimed, 'This is criminal!' The new dentist didn't see any reason whatsoever to put an inlay on top of the fillings that have been serving me well for the last 20 years.

I'm sad that one of my other teeth was ground to a nub and that I shelled out over $1000 for a porcelin inlay (that is not permanent in itself) that I probably never needed in the first place. I'd go back to get my records to show to my new dentist in order to determine whether the first inlay was really necessary, but Anoushfar wants me to shell out another $40 for the records (industry standard of $25 to get records), and I really don't want to put any more money there.

So please, don't go here, and if you do, stop and find someone else. Really.

Dr. Sherry Anoushfar is one of the best Dentists in Reston, Virginia. I have been her patient since 2000. She is highly professional and treats all her patients with dignity and respect. Dr. Anoushfar has performed many complicated dental procedures on me in the past and she has always been polite and clearly explained what my dental problems were, all of my options, and prepared a detailed written cost estimate plan prior to any work being done. I have been particularly pleased with her skills and abilities to analyze my dental problems and extremely happy with the results. Lets be fair here, most dental surgeries and some procedures are expensive, regardless of who does them. Dr. Anoushfar’s costs are in line with other Dental charges in Northern Virginia. I have never had work done that was not absolutely needed and I have only been charged for work performed.

Dr. Anoushfar’s Office Manager and other staff persons couldn’t be better. They are all highly skilled, highly professional, extremely polite, and totally efficient. This dental office is always immaculate. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone who is looking for expert dental care in a state-of-the-arts dental facility at a reasonably costs.
