In 2007 we remodeled our Lander practice for our growing patient base. Since then we have made a commitment to stay abreast and embrace the latest of what dental technology has to offer. Our treatment rooms are equipped with computer monitors, intraoral cameras and digital radiography. Even though our dental practice is a forward thinking, state-of-the-art facility, we still adhere to the simple, important values that make the scenic Lander community so wonderful. Our practice philosophy has always been to make a difference in our community by educating about the benefits of good oral health, and by using our practice as a satellite office for dental specialists to provide extensive care for our patients and all of Wyoming.

Welcome to the Lander Dental Group of Wyoming, the practice of Drs. Chris Peterson and Eric Sheridan. Your decision to join our professional dental team is a wise one. Our dentists look forward to getting to know you and to working with you. All of us are committed to serving the patients of our practice by providing the highest quality dental care possible. We offer a wide range of services, including preventive, cosmetic, restorative and reconstructive dentistry. Sedative restorations: temporary fillings done to control rampant decay or for cancer patients

Crowns: a restoration that completely covers tooth to provide improved strength and/or function
Bridges: a series of crowns used to replace missing teeth
Veneers: an esthetic anterior restoration
*There are many options in fixed prosthetics, and crowns can be made from a multitude of materials. A thorough discussion with the dentist is required to determine what the best choice is for each patient.

Root canal: a process to sterilize and fill the interior of a tooth

Prophy: a typical cleaning appointment done every six months
Scaling and rootplaning: a more thorough version of prophy appointment usually involving anesthetic
*In addition, our dental office has a close relationship with a dentist specializing in this field. Dr. Okano lives in Rock Springs and once a month he visits our practice. He provides some treatment while here.
Oral Surgery
Simple extractions: removal or ‘pulling’ of tooth/teeth
Surgical extractions: removal of tooth/teeth by means of surgery
Biopsy: tissue removal to check for abnormalities
*In addition, our dental office has a close relationship with a dentist specializing in this field. Dr Stern lives in Jackson and once a month visits our practice. He provides treatment while here. Most of our wisdom teeth extractions are performed by Dr Stern.
Pediatric Dentistry

Stainless Steel crowns: type of full coverage restoration used on baby teeth(usually molars)
*In addition, our dental office has a close relationship with a dentist specializing in this field. Dr. Krise lives here in Lander and utilizes our facility on Fridays of each week.
